Metis Nation of Ontario Early Learning Conference, April 5-6, 2022

The Métis Nation of Ontario’s (MNO) Early Learning and Child Care program is continuously working to address existing gaps in services, assess the inclusivity of those services for Métis children and youth, determine ways to make mainstream programming more culturally appropriate, and explore opportunities for new program involvement and delivery.

We want to invite participants in the Early Learning Field to participate in the 3rd Annual Early Learning and Child Care Professional Learning Conference. The event will be held virtually over Zoom on:

April 5, 2022, 6-8:30 pm and April 6, 2022, 9-4:30 pm

The purpose of the conference is to allow participants to enhance their knowledge of Métis children and how to support Metis children in the classrooms and community. Our keynote presenters (Please see Keynote Biographies attachment) will give participants a deeper understanding of reconnection to our children, family, peers, and communities. In addition, delegates will learn how to access relevant resources and integrate Métis culture into ELCC pedagogy and daily practices.

If you are interested in attending the event, please confirm your attendance by completing the online application: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/66987N8

Registration opens on February 14, 2022 – February 28, 2022. Please note there is limited space available. Therefore, registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis and will be closed once the maximum participant capacity has been met. Those who expressed interest but could not submit an application will be added to a waitlist for consideration.
